  1. Enter the planned duration and extra minutes. Use the average concurrent audience and delivered bitrate for this scenario.
  2. Enter your delivery rate per GB and hourly encoding, platform and crew rates. Use zero for a cost that does not apply.
  3. Compare scheduled, extra and extended totals. Download the assumptions and breakdown in Excel or CSV.

Data delivered = minutes × 60 × Mbps ÷ 8 ÷ 1,000 × concurrent viewers (decimal GB). Delivery cost = GB × rate. Hourly costs are prorated by elapsed minutes. Audience and bitrate are held constant during the overrun. Contract minimums, billing increments, tiered pricing, taxes, rights fees, ad revenue and redundancy are excluded; add these separately when assessing the budget.
